The Verinag Spring is a popular tourist destination and has historical importance dating back to the Mughal era. It was Emperor Jahangir who is said to have ordered the construction of a garden around the spring in the early 17th century. The garden was designed in the traditional Mughal style, with terraced lawns, pavilions, and flowing water channels. Verinag is located at the foothills of the Pir Panjal mountain range and is surrounded by lush greenery. The spring itself is a natural wonder, with crystal-clear waters that emerge from the ground and form a pool. The water is believed to have therapeutic properties, and the Mughals used it for their royal baths.
